Our Story
THE ATELIER
Atelier Privé Studio is a gifting and curation studio, founded in Toronto with a global point of view.
This is not a gift-basket company. We create curated Edits for individuals, executives, corporations, private events and special occasions. Every Edit is chosen to feel considered, useful, beautiful and worth receiving.
Gifting should not be about filling a box with products. It should be about selecting fewer, better things, with intention.
A gift, done properly, is never one thing. It is a collection of pieces that belong together, each one there for a reason, working as a whole. I have spent entire weekends finding the last piece. It is the only way I have ever known how to do it.
This studio is that habit, given a name.
The work happens before anything is bought. I read what I can about the person. I discard more than I keep. A piece stays only when it earns its place beside the others, and I have started over more than once because something in the box was merely good.
The products are the pieces. The curation is the product.
Our Approach
The right gift begins with the person.
Atelier Privé Studio was created from a love of curation and the search for the gift that feels as though it could only have been chosen for its recipient. We consider who they are, the life they are living, the occasion and the experience the gift should create. Then we source each piece individually.
Luxury, considered differently
Our definition of luxury is not limited to a designer name or a particular price point.
It can come from an established house, a small atelier in Italy, a piece hand block-printed in India, or something made in small batches by an independent Canadian maker. What matters is the care behind it: the materials, craftsmanship, provenance, usefulness and intention.
We look for pieces that feel exceptional, wherever they come from.
Canadian first, not Canadian only
We are a Canadian studio, and wherever the curation allows, we prioritize Canadian makers, independent businesses and local suppliers.
When a few hundred dollars are already being spent on a gift, we believe where that money goes matters too. Choosing Atelier Privé Studio allows that spend to move through a wider network of small businesses, from the Studio and the makers we source from to printers, packaging partners, suppliers and delivery services.
That is the ripple we care about.
Canadian first does not mean Canadian only. If the right piece cannot be found here, we will look beyond our borders. The recipient and the integrity of the curation always come first.
Today, every supplier currently in our network is also women-owned, extending that support to women-led businesses and entrepreneurs.
